Christmas is a great time of the year for doing lots of what we all like doing. For me, the greatest problem is getting round to sending the Christmas cards out. So for several years now I've given up on the idea completely and am sending everybody a Christmas Short Story across the Internet instead - I hope you enjoy reading my Christmas (Xmas) Wishes and the other Christmas stories below and have a really Merry and Happy Christmas

By the way ...

The most exciting thing that has happened to me recently, apart from being able to get back to writing after many months immersed in data processing and web site management issues, is my discovery of RSS technology. Now I really wouldn't be without it :-) Whenever, a new article is posted on any of the many web sites or message boards I visit, I'm automatically informed of the page containing the article and a brief note of it's subject matter. It's wonderful because it saves me wasting time checking sites that haven't changed and doesn't require me to subscribe to any mailing lists and (usually) receiving bundles of stuff I don't want.

I've got stories in the pipeline that I am currently writing and I will update this page to keep you in touch. I've RSS enabled this home page so you can receive automatic notification of the story. Simply add this site to your list of feeds and I hope you enjoy the story when you come back and revisit.

If you are new to RSS technology, I strongly recommend you check it out. Some browsers, like Firefox have it integrated. I use Linux for all my computing so my News Aggregator (Akregator) comes free with my operating system. But there are lots of people on the web who can tell you better than I where to get the software. The only thing I would say is be sure to get it from a reputable source so it doesn't contain any nasties. Go on treat yourself to a little Christmas present :-) If you visit a number of sites or notice boards regularly, it's brilliant and it will automatically tell you when I've put up my next Christmas story! Needless to say, you can stop your news aggregator checking my site just by removing this site from your computer's feed list, so it's all completely under your control.
